The PREFER CHW Training Program (PaRtnEring to build understanding oF gEnomics Responsibly) is a virtual course where you will learn:
• How to collect and use family health history
• Navigate genetics resources
• Information about genetic conditions like hereditary cancers (breast, ovarian, colorectal) and sickle cell disease
• About ethical issues related to genetics research

Start Date: Week of April 13, 2026
End of Course: Week of June 15, 2026
• Course is delivered through pre-recorded videos and four scheduled virtual meeting
• Participants complete a practical applications project
• You will be compensated for completing the course
• You will receive a certificate of completion for 20 hours of learning
