August CHW CoLab | PEER | The Importance of Colorectal Cancer Screening

This training provides a foundation for educating peer and patient outreach healthcare teams on the burden of colorectal cancer, the importance of shared decision-making, and the available screening options. It is designed to further equip those supporting interventions aimed at closing screening gaps.

 Objectives

At the completion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  • Describe the burden of colorectal cancer and its impact on underserved populations.

  • Compare and contrast available colorectal cancer screening options and how they support a shared decision-making approach.

  • Identify resources available to support outreach and education programs aimed at improving colorectal cancer screening rates.
