Kim Rawlinson is passionate about improving health outcomes and addressing health disparities in underserved and rural communities through meaningful community engagement strategies. She brings over fifteen years of experience as a Community Health Worker (CHW), dedicated to reducing health disparities through community outreach and engagement across South Carolina. Her experience includes fostering academic and community-based partnerships, supporting research efforts, and overseeing project management and implementation.
As Community Impact Manager at the Center for Community Health Alignment (CCHA), Kim provides leadership for CHW initiatives with a focus on community-centered approaches. She coordinates CHW-led community engagement projects and supports the development of practical tools and processes that strengthen this work. Kim also works to increase awareness of the CHW model and provides technical assistance to organizations across clinical and community-based settings, helping teams effectively integrate CHWs into multidisciplinary care and outreach efforts.
In addition, Kim serves as a co-lead for the Southeast Community Health Worker Network, where she supports regional collaboration and capacity-building to advance and sustain the CHW workforce across the Southeast. She also serves on the South Carolina Witness Project Advisory Board and the Live Healthy Richland County Coalition.
Kim holds a Master of Public Health from the University of South Carolina’s Arnold School of Public Health and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Tuskegee University. She is deeply committed to working alongside organizations and communities to improve health equity and believes her work at CCHA helps elevate the voices of those most impacted by health inequities.
