Richard Strater, MA is a mixed-methods researcher, community health worker (CHW) advocate, and returned peace corps volunteer (Mexico eRPCV) passionate about addressing nonmedical factors that impact health through community-engaged research and policy development. As Research & Communications Lead at the Center for Community Health Alignment (CCHA), he oversees research projects, leads data analysis, and translates complex findings into accessible insights that drive systems change. He also develops strategic communications that elevate CHW voices and inform public health partners.

He is currently completing a Master of Public Health program in Health Services Policy & Management at the University of South Carolina during which he also served as a Health Policy Research & Analysis Graduate Assistant at the South Carolina Institute of Medicine and Public Health, supporting health policy research and statewide taskforces. His background in anthropology, public health, and multilingual outreach enables him to connect across sectors and communities to build partnerships that improve health outcomes.
